Production Log Main Task

The aim of our task is to create a two minute opening scene of a film, the genre we are going to use is a thriller,we are going to have actors play the roles of people hanging around in the woods and messing about.

the location of our film is going to be set in Mousehold at night therefore the darkness will make it scarier, then we could film people running and hiding behind the trees, the sound effects we would be able to use are footsteps running, the sound of branches breaking and loud heartbeats, heavy breathing and the sound of the wind russeling through the trees. we thought it could end by he camera being dropped onto the floor and you see people running away from it then he screens goes fuzzy. Its going to be dark but we will need light to see the characters properly therefore we will need a big light.

The ideas we have came up with so far are the opening scene is missing people posters, plastered all over walls and phone boxes and other places along those lines, we could have people running and screaming but without the sound so you can see the emotion on those peoples faces, so they are focusing on that. Another idea is that to make the audience start to question what is happening we would have a black screen with a person heavy breathing and then the screen suddenly goes to a fuzzy screen and then cuts to clips of people in the forest messing around.

We thought we could have two cameras, one filming people in the wood and the other filming the person filming the other people, so then we can edit it so it can cut between both cameras, we got this idea from watching the Blair witch project. We thought we would be able to use this concept as that film is also a thriller/horror.

Each person in the group has a certain role to do i have to set the scene where to put the fire where to put the tents to make everything look perfect. i am also going to prepare the costumes. Robbie is setting up all the props and creating the dialogue. Sophie is going to help me with the settings and is going to do the make-up. We are all going to film. we have asked friends to be in our film they are Simon, Lewis, Bokenham and Lauren.
